Losing a tooth is never a fun thing to do, but sometimes it’s necessary. San Diego True Design
Dentistry is here to help you when you’re considering your options or need to have your teeth
removed due to oral health complications. We believe in creating the most comfortable experience
possible for you – both during your procedure as well as during recovery.
Before we ever remove a tooth, we’ll review all of your other dental treatment options with you. If
a tooth extraction is the best option, we’ll usually have you reserve about an hour with us for the
oral surgery procedure. During your extraction procedure, we’ll make every effort to keep you as
comfortable as possible! Depending on the type of extraction that is needed, we may utilize local
anesthesia or even prescription medication to help you relax. The tooth will then be removed in one
piece by shifting it side-to-side as it is loosened, or bisected into smaller pieces before it is
removed (a technique that is common with the removal of wisdom teeth.)
We want the best for you at our San Diego dentistry, just as if you were part of our own family. Do
you need a tooth removed, or do you need one repaired before it’s lost altogether? Call us at (858)
326-2031 to set up a quick exam and smile assessment.
When at all possible, True Design Dentistry dentist Dr. Refahi and his team try to help our patients
preserve their natural teeth. Unfortunately, this isn’t always possible. Sometimes it’s better to
have problematic teeth removed altogether. For instance, Dr. Refahi may recommend dental extractions
for:
It is often necessary to replace your missing teeth after they have been removed.
This prevents your other teeth from shifting out of place and changing the appearance of your smile
or even your biting patterns. San Diego True Design Dentistry offers a number of tooth replacement
options including dental implants, dental bridges, and dentures. The sooner you replace your missing
tooth, the less impact the extraction will have on your smile. Dental treatments like dental
implants not only replace your tooth, they also strengthen your smile.
Contact Us at our San Diego dental office to find out about the benefits of our services and which therapies such as implants can help you keep your smile as strong as possible.
Our office is located on the Northwest corner of Genesee and Balboa Avenue, behind El Pollo Loco (opposite The Home Depot.)
